Background
Olivia lives locally near Slades Farm with her husband Tom and their two sons, who attend local schools. A teacher with over 20 years of experience, Olivia is passionate about Early Years and Special Needs education and is working hard to support children and families in our community.
Experience
Olivia has represented Wallisdown and Winton as a councillor for the past three years, working hard to stand up for local residents and get things done for the area. She first became involved in local politics through her volunteer work with a local youth club and as a Brownie leader.
Her professional experience as a teacher gives her first-hand experience into the challenges facing local families today. Olivia regularly visits local schools and has served as a school governor and active PTA member, helping raise funds for new playground equipment. She also holds regular youth advice surgeries in local schools, making sure young people feel heard.
Community & Interests
Olivia is an active member of the community and volunteers a local residents’ group. In her spare time she enjoys sea swimming and exploring Talbot Heath while spotting local wildlife. She is also involved with her children’s football teams, helping with teas and supporting matches.
Rich Herrett
Background
Rich lives in Ensbury Park with his young family. His two children have grown up here and attend schools in the ward. Rich worked in hospitality for 20 years, most recently for a local charity leading their food programme.Through his work he has developed strong leadership skills which help him get things done for the community.
Experience
Rich has served as a BCP councillor for his local area for the past three years and alongside Olivia, Rich has successfully campaigned for improvements to Slades Farm. He has also regularly helped out the local Parents and Friends Association for a local school,helping raise funds and supporting local events. Rich is a member of the Wallisdown and Winton Area Forum and works with residents to raise and resolve local issues. He can often be found our and about on his bike, reporting potholes, blocked drains and other issues to ensure our part of Bournemouth is the best it can be.
Community & Interests
Rich enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, especially walking around Slades Farm and Redhill Park, or taking his children to the Redhill Paddling Pool. As a regular visitor, he is passionate about protecting our local spaces families enjoy. He also enjoys watching sports when he finds the time.
