Nicola has lived locally for most of her life, including raising her family here for the past 9 years. As a mother of four, she has a strong understanding of local life. Her children have attended local schools including Bournemouth School for Girls, Bournemouth School and Linwood. Nicola understands the challenges many families face.
Experience
Nicola brings a wealth of professional and personal experience. She holds a first-class degree from Cambridge and built a successful 18-year career in the finance industry. As a chartered accountant and member of the Securities Institute, she rose to become Director of Corporate Finance Compliance at Deloitte, overseeing operations across the UK and Switzerland. Through caring for her daughter, Nicola has developed invaluable skills, navigating complex systems in education and healthcare, advocating for support, and standing up for families who are too often overlooked. She is passionate about ensuring people feel heard, valued and supported, and believes in making the most of our resources through careful financial planning.
Community & Interests
Nicola is an active member of Gateway Church in Poole, contributing her time to support its wide range of community activities. She is also passionate about protecting the local environment and can often be found litter picking in her local area. In her spare time, Nicola makes the most of the area's beautiful surroundings. She enjoys paddle boarding in Poole Harbour, sea swimming all year round, and running along the beach or at Poole Parkrun. She has a cockapoo who even has his “regular customer” photo on the wall of the Coffee Saloon. Nicola also has a love of music and the arts, playing both piano and oboe, and regularly attending performances at the Lighthouse in Poole.
