Marcel Taylor
Background
Marcel has grown up in Bournemouth and was born at Poole Hospital. He lives with his family and his three cats, Sasha, Tilly and Max. Marcel has attended local schools, including Bournemouth School. Having grown up here, he understands the importance of protecting what makes our area special.
Experience
Marcel has been involved with the Bournemouth Community Church for several years, supporting activities and community projects. He has also volunteered at a local library, helping to restore its garden to create a space that can be enjoyed by everyone. Marcel has helped to raise funds for the Parks Foundation, to protect and improve Bournemouth’s parks and green spaces.
He is currently studying electrical and mechanical engineering at Bournemouth and Poole college and wants to use his skills and enthusiasm to make a positive difference locally.
Community & Interests
Marcel is passionate about protecting our green spaces and ensuring they remain clean, safe and welcoming for future generations. In his spare time he enjoys spending time outdoors and getting involved in local community activities.
Alan Zaczek
Background
Alan lives in Kinson on Mandale Road with his family. Living locally means he understands the issues facing local residents. He is currently studying to become an electrician.
Experience
Alan has previously volunteered in a care home, providing companionship and support to elderly residents. He can often be found out and about in the community reporting potholes, blocked drains and other issues. Alan wants to see Kinson thrive and is keen to organise regular community litter picks to help keep local streets and green spaces clean and tidy. Alan is particularly passionate about improving youth provision in the area so young people have safe places to meet and socialise.
Community & Interests
Alan enjoys going to local events across Bournemouth and wants to see more local events to celebrate Kinson and bring residents together. In his spare time he enjoys walking his dog Lola around Turbury Park. Alan is also a keen history enthusiast and wants to help preserve Bournemouth’s heritage and local identity.
