Liberal Democrat conference has passed a motion demanding the restoration of rights to the Windrush Generation.
The motion demands an end to the damaging hostile environment policy started under May’s leadership of the Home Office.
The motion calls for measures to ensure there is a fair process that would prevent future outrages, and for compensation for any victims of the Windrush scandal who have been affected by deportation, detention or the loss of their rights in the UK.
Liberal Democrat delegates have today moved to support the decriminalisation of abortion, including for women in Northern Ireland.
Liberal Democrat MP Christine Jardine, who summated the motion, told delegates that it was “wrong that women are being denied rights over their own bodies.” She added that “2018 must be the year this ends.”
The proposals debated and passed by delegates include the enforcement of buffer zones around abortion service providers, ensuring people have the right to privacy and access to services without harassment.
Bournemouth's Tories are failing our children.

When Bournemouth was run by the Liberal Democrats our Children's Services were rated "Good". We worked hard with the Council's staff for this rating but we believe that we left these services in very good shape when we lost control of Bournemouth Town Hall in 2007.
Cautious welcome for housing scheme.
Bournemouth Liberal Democrats have this morning given a cautious welcome to council proposals for the development of homes in the Westbourne area.
Give us homes, not hotels!
News has broken this week of yet another hairbrained spending splurge from Bournemouth's Conservative Council.
