Sandra has lived in Newtown since 1980 and has been in the same home since 1986, where she raised her six children. All of them attended local schools and her youngest now studies at the North Road campus of Bournemouth and Pool College. Now a proud grandmother of five, Sandra’s family has deep roots in the  area, with the next generation following the same local school paths.

Sandra has always been active in her community, particularly supporting families and young people while raising her children. Today she is a member of Parkstone Community Group and Haskells Rec  Community Group, working with others to support local activities and  protect valued community spaces.

Sandra enjoys being involved in neighbourhood projects and organising litter picks to help keep the area clean and tidy.

Sandra enjoys all things creative, from crochet and sewing to home interiors  and gardening, finding ways to give things a new life. Sandra has also kept chickens in her garden and hopes to rehome ex-commercial hens again in the future. She enjoys spending time outdoors and values the simple things, like our green spaces, that make a community a great place to live.
