Dawn Logan

The Liberal Democrat candidate for the by-election in Talbot and Branksome Woods

Background

Dawn lives in Talbot & Branksome Woods with her partner and their two young children, opposite the Upper Gardens. Her partner grew up locally, and after years of visiting, they chose to make the local area their family home.

Starting off as a qualified engineer, Dawn now runs her own business, giving her the flexibility to balance work, family life and fighting for the community.

Experience

Dawn began her career in the energy sector before moving into health and social care, having a leading role in launching one of UK’s largest integrated health and social care services during the pandemic. She is passionate about making public services work better and ensuring residents get good value for money.

A long-time volunteer, Dawn serves as a school governor, has championed LGBT+ and women’s inclusion in work, and regularly visits schools to encourage girls into science and tech industries. She and her partner once cycled over 10,000 miles around the world to raise funds to build a school in Ghana.

Dawn has the skills, experience and drive to be a strong voice for the local community.

Hobbies & Interests

Dawn enjoys being active, is a member of Westover CrossFit, and loves attending local events and supporting community projects such as walking the Mermaid Trail with her family earlier this summer. She is passionate about health, wellbeing, and helping her local area thrive.
