Brian enjoys living in Southbourne with his husband and their dog, Hudson. Having been a history teacher for 20 years, he now works in teacher training and uses his experience to support new teachers in schools.

Brian is involved in the local community and events through his role as a committee member of the Southbourne Forum. He is keen to see a council that will get the basics right for Southbourne by tackling issues such as graffiti, anti-social behaviour and the poor state of lighting along the seafront.

As a local campaigner, Brian actively supported the campaign to stop the development of the play park off Beaufort Road and is opposing the planned development of luxury apartments on the car park and community gardens at Southbourne Crossroads.

Brian’s 30 years in education has given him a breadth of knowledge, and combined with his passion for the local community, he will make an excellent representative for our area.

Brian enjoys walking with his dog (both of whom love the beach), musical theatre, cinema, reading and royal history.
