Be A Councillor Christchurch

We are now just over a year away from the next local election campaign here in BCP.

In 2019 the Liberal Democrats came second in both votes and seats, for a year and a half we were able to run the council as part of an alliance with other smaller groups, delivering results for residents through hard work, collaboration, and consensus. We passed BCP’s first ever budget, declared a climate emergency and stood up for the identity of each of our three towns.

Our campaign for the 2023 election is already underway, our goal is to oust this new Conservative administration and ALL four of the local Constituency parties are united in this.

If, like me, you are disgusted by the arrogant Conservative party’s behaviour, locally and nationally, I would urge you to think about being a Liberal Democrat candidate in May 2023.

If you think you may be interested, we are running three “Be A Councillor” sessions over the coming weeks and I would wholeheartedly encourage you to come along. You can meet the team, learn more about the campaign and what to expect when you win!

  • Session One - Sunday 30th Jan, 5-7pm, Broadstone Liberal Hall, BH18 8ET
  • Session Two – Wednesday 9th Feb, 7-9pm, Moordown Community Centre, BH19 1TW
  • Session Three - Saturday 26th Feb 10am-12noon, Portfield Community Hall, BH23 2AQ

Kind regards

 Cllr Vikki Slade

Lib Dem Group Leader on BCP Council & Former Council Leader
