The Liberal Democrats can be distinguished from the Conservatives by the breadth and depth of policies that show how we put our values and beliefs into practise.

An article in the Guardian reviewing the Green Standard report commented that the report 'found a "stark" gap between the rhetoric of (the Conservative party) and its policy commitments on the environment since the 2005 election.'

The environment has always been a priority concern for Liberal Democrats. The latest summary policy guide shows that you really can 'vote Lib Dem and get Green.'

We believe that all government departments and agencies have to take responsibility for the environment and tackling climate change, and so have a 'green thread' of action in every area of policy.
