Council Website gets face lift

12.00.00am UTC (GMT +0000) Thu 12th Apr 2007

Lib Dem run Bournemouth Council has revamped its website, at www.bournemouth.gov.uk, to make it easier for visitors to the site to find what they're looking for.

This is the first step in a series of improvements that will also see the content of the site reviewed so ensure it is more customer focused.

The site has also been made more accessible with software call Browsealoud, which reads the words on the screen out loud.

'The Council website offers many services on line, such as reporting broken streetlights, applying for jobs, and paying on line. Finding all those things should now be much easier,' says Councillor Ben Prescott.
