Lockers on Bournemouth's beach: a UK 1st.

Lib Dem run Bournemouth Council will be the first to offer beach lockers in the UK.

Located at Boscombe Beach and Bournemouth Pier, the secure kiosks will allow visitors to leave their belongings in a locker for small daily cost.

'The lockers will allow visitors to go swimming, sunbathe, and enjoy the beach without worrying about leaving their valuables on the beach, or losing their car keys!' says Councillor Rob Copeland, cabinet member responsible for the seafront.

'Bournemouth is leading on this, like it led on no-smoking beaches and Kids Zone beaches, both of which have been adopted around the country'
