Yellow Pages can be recycled during November.

During November, Bournemouth Council has a scheme in place to recycle Yellow Pages directories.

There are paper banks specifically for them in the following recycling places:

  • Bournemouth Town Hall, rear car park, off St. Stephens Road

  • Cranmer Road Car Park, Winton

  • Littledown Leisure Centre Car Park

  • Milburn Road Car Park, Westbourne

  • Millhams Road Civic Amenity Site

  • Southbourne Crossroads

  • Tesco Car Park, Castle Lane East

  • Woodside Road Car Park, Pokesdown

A number of schools are also running a competition, with cash prizes for the schools which collect the largest number. The list of schools and more information is on the Council's website. (http://www.bournemouth.gov.uk/Residents/Waste_Recycling/)

  • Phone directories can go in the normal paper banks, but they don't like yellow paper. Rip out any yellow section, and the covers, and put that in the Yellow Pages banks.
