Simon Foster has resigned as Councillor for Littledown and Iford for family and career reasons.

Simon says, 'As you may know, there have been some medical problems within my family over the summer. Whilst I'm happy to report that these have now been resolved, this has taken a considerable toll on myself and my family. In addition, changes in first my wife's career, and now mine, mean that we have to leave the Bournemouth area.'

Councillors Fran Ketchley and Adrian Fudge say, 'Working with Simon over the last couple of years, the Lib Dem team has been able to do much for our area. We've got new facilities like the skate park, tackled many of the parking problems we inherited from the Tories and helped get the Area Forum going so that local people can get involved with decision making. We wish Simon well for the future.'
