Jon's work takes him all over the constituency and beyond to schools and community projects. He works on a wide range of inclusion projects which has given him powerful insight into some of the most vulnerable people and communities locally and beyond.
Jon first moved to Bournemouth in 1985, and since then has lived in a number of places before returning to live here in 2006. After studying Psychology at the University of Glamorgan, and a postgraduate course at a London drama school, Jon went on to work in prisons using creative methods to challenge offending behaviour.
After this he became involved in conflict resolution and development work in the Balkans, Caucasus, Middle East and elsewhere, designing programmes to prevent conflict and manage trauma. He now works with a number of organisations in the UK and abroad that aim to reduce tension, violence and exclusion. Lately, his cross community work has been aimed at reducing extremism.
Jon is currently a visiting tutor at Arts University Bournemouth and a senior associate with The Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace in Warrington.
